About the Role

We’re a warm, creative family in Topanga, CA, seeking a long-term, full-time career nanny and mother’s helper to care for our two young children:

  • A vibrant, imaginative 4-year-old girl

  • A joyful 1-year-old boy

We’re looking for more than a caregiver—someone who feels like an extension of our family. A calm, grounded presence with extensive experience, who is aligned with conscious, child-centered parenting philosophies.

For the first three years, we had the absolute gift of working with our soulmate caregiver. For the past few months, a dear friend from Maine has stepped in with similar synergy and experience. Through them, we've gained such clarity on the kind of energy that best supports our family.

The Right Person For Us

  • Deeply educated in and attuned to gentle parenting, Waldorf philosophy, and (warmer) RIE-based practices.

  • Remote Living & Spiritual - we’ve found that the care who has the most alignment prefers living in remote, beautiful places and has a very spiritual outlook on life

  • Deep connection with nature—not only comfortable being outside most of the day, but truly thrives there: exploring, crafting, and connecting with the land alongside the children and our animals.

  • Children have always been their passion - babysat when they were young before becoming career nannies. Were often camp counselors, and have always thrived working with children.

  • Has a postpartum doula nourishing energy about them - intuitively knows where to weave into house needs like dishes, putting laundry away, helping with anything that supports mom.

  • Shares our holistic values—with familiarity and comfort around organic living, homeopathy, flower essences, and other natural remedies.

  • Feels like family and close friends—present, nurturing, and integrated into the daily flow of our home.

  • Travels easily—with no pets or dependents, they can join us at our other properties (Mendocino & Mariposa) for extended stays.

  • Is deeply committed—looking to be with one family for 3–6 years.

  • Blends beautifully into our community—kind, spiritually connected, and emotionally intelligent.

Daily Responsibilities

Nature is the heart of our rhythm. Our nanny will spend most of the day outside with the children on our land, creating meaningful, nature-based experiences.
